The Second Coming is preached regularly in revivals. It adds the urgency to why we need to believe – NOW.
It is silent from the pulpit, because it is uncomfortable, or ‘offensive’, How offensive is HELL to those who are offended now?

JULY, 1931 Some thoughts about His Coming – Charles S. Price.
In NT – they mention this subject 360 times! I Thess 4.16, “For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first.
Rev 1:7 “Behold, He cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see Him. and they also which pierced Him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of Him. Even so, Amen.”
And what will be the first intimation of His coming
1. It will be the noise and the voice of the archangel and the trump of God.
2. And the spirits of just men made perfect will be re-united to their bodies — the glorified, resurrection body!
3. Your old mother will come up out of that grave, just as sure as you are reading this. She will be shouting, “Glory!”
4. When you see the vacant chair, as you sit gazing into the fire, or listen for the sound of a voice that is still;—
“The earth is filled with wailing for the dying, and mourning for the dead; the voice of Rachel for her children crying, will not be comforted!”
“What is this in the hand of my Lord, that partly conceals the nail-print in the hand of my Lord?” (His voice is as the sound of many waters!)—”The keys of hell, and the keys of death.”
“O Death, where is thy sting! O Grave, where is thy victory! I have conquered the grave! I have overcome death.”
Oh, I’d like to hold a conversation with death. Look him squarely in the face, gaze into his eyes, point him to the mourners gathered round the casket, and say, “This is your husbandry, — this is your building ; — this is what you have conceived and brought forth!
You have done according to your will.
You have done according to your own pleasure!
You have this one in your power now.
You seem to be conqueror now; but I want to serve notice on you: that the day is soon coming when your power will be broken; the chains with which you now bind will snap; the fetters fall off. Those you have held in your grasp so long, when the trumpet sounds, they shall know you no more at all forever! My Lord, who holds the keys of hell and death shall come with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and the trump of God! In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye;—at the last trump, O Death! And you shall cover yourself with shame. For, lo! Behold, my Lord cometh with ten thousand of His saints!!
Explore every avenue of prophetic truth; travel the entire length of it, and it will lead you to but one conclusion – “The Lord’s Coming in any Day – HE IS COMING!”
Can there be any doubt at all about the pre-Millenial coming of the Lord!
Ah—with the world getting worse, and worse, and worse! — an apostate church, – an unbelievable priesthood – waxing fat, themselves, while the “hungry sheep look up, and are not fed;” — every cardinal of doctrine going by the board;— the churches turned into club houses;— getting worse, and worse, and worse!
I read the account of how a wealthy parishoner wanted her dog baptized in the name of Jesus and the minister complied!
The place is being made for every devilish, hellish imagination of the heart of man ;—fighting divine healing; fighting the pre-millenial coming of the Lord ;—fighting the baptism of the Holy Spirit; crowding out the things of God ;— substituting the things of the world for the things of the Spirit — placing community uplift in the forefront, teaching psychology — modernistic teaching supplanting the preaching of the cross! “I believe I could be the pastor of a big downtown city church, with a salary of $5000 a week if this was preached!” one pastor said glowingly.
Is the world getting better? When I was a lad Sunday was Sunday:
- The theatres were closed.
- Liquor stores were closed.
- Churches were open!
- Father and Mother went to church, we went to Sunday School.
- Now the theatre draws the crowds or Sports;
- it’s a social position of popularity, endorsement, approval identity.
- It absorbs the neighborhood, it passes up the church.
- The world is not getting better.
Moral standards are diluted by, political correctness that places – racism and human rights as priority over godliness. Young children today have never heard the words: prayer, Jesus Christ, God, heaven, hell, compassion from their parent (s) lips.
Is He coming back – yes … are you ready?
